Nature photographers have flocked to a small town in Eastern Canada after a huge iceberg drifted just off the coast.

日前，在一座巨大的冰山飘移至加拿大东部一个小镇的海岸之后，采风摄影师们蜂拥而至。

The towering iceberg floated into waters just next to Ferryland, Newfoundland, causing bumper-to-bumper traffic as tourists try to get a glimpse of it.

这座高耸的冰山就漂浮在纽芬兰费里兰附近的海域，大批游客慕名前来只为目睹它的风采，导致交通一度堵塞。

The area is known as "iceberg alley" due to the arctic blocks that float down every spring.

由于北极的冰块每年春天都会漂过来，所以这个地方也因此得名“冰山巷”。

This particularly huge one is expected to linger off the coast for some time because it looks grounded, Ferryland Mayor Adrian Kavanagh told CTV.

费里兰镇长阿德里安·卡瓦纳在接受加拿大电视台采访时表示，这座特别巨大的冰山有望在此逗留一段时间，因为它看起来好像“搁浅”了。

"It's a huge iceberg and it's in so close that people can get a good photograph of it," he said. "It's the biggest one I ever seen around here."

他说道：“这座冰山如此巨大又靠近小镇，游人这次可以尽情地拍照了。这是我在这里见过的最大的冰山。”

Canadian press reported that there had already been more icebergs than normal – with 616 already having moved into the North Atlantic shipping lanes compared to 687 by the late-September season's end last year.

加拿大通讯社报道称，今年的冰山较以往有了明显的增加--目前为止已有616座冰山进入了北大西洋航道。要知道，去年九月底冰山季结束时总共才有687座冰山。

Experts said it could be because of uncommonly strong winds and possibly global warming.
