General: one left nephrectomy specimen, with the size of 16 x 11 x 6.5 cm, a mass founded in the upper kidney, with the size of 9 x 7 x 3 cm, the section appeared to be grey-red and grey-yellow, having clear boundaries with surrounding tissues, the section appeared to be golden yellow, having hemorrhage and necrosis situations; ureteral stump with the length of 8 cm and the diameter of 0.3 cm, left adrenal gland with the size of 7 x 3.5 x 1 cm, the section appeared to be golden yellow.
Microscopy: tumor cells appeared to be circular and ovate, with similar size, plenty of transparent cytoplasm, hyperchromatic nucleus in the middle, and no abnormal shapes, tumor tissues appeared degeneration and necrosis, with plenty of interstitial blood sinus, ureteral stump and left adrenal tissue appeared no tumors, the another tissue “by the renal pedicle” sent being ganglion tissues, appearing no tumors and lymph nodes. “Peritoneal” fibrosis connective tissue and adipose tissue appeared local hemorrhage situation without any tumor.
Diagnosis: (Left) Clear cell carcinoma of kidney (Grade I by using Fuhrman Grades)
